Homemade Pesto
Everything tastes better homemade than out of a jar and nothing more so than pesto. Its so quick and simple! The small effort far outweighs the rewards of this super tasty treat.
Ingredients:
50g pine nuts
150ml olive oil
80g of fresh basil
50g parmesan
2 garlic cloves
10 minute preparation:
Toast the pine nuts in a non stick pan (this takes a couple of minutes on a medium heat)
Put into a blender with the remainder of the ingredients and whizz
Serve tossed into wholewheat pasta – simple, nutritious and delicious.
