Chia Seed Jam & Homemade Nut Butter
Strawberry Chia Seed Jam
200g of strawberries
3 tbsp Chia Seeds
Maple syrup or agave to taste
Simply whizz the strawberries in a blender until smooth. Add the chia seeds and maple syrup should you need to sweeten the jam. Pop in a jar or container, cover & chill for 15 minutes. The Chia seeds will act as a binding agent bringing the fresh strawberry Puree to a jam.
You can substitite Strawberries for your fruit of choice and use frozen fuit – its all good!
Nut Butter
200g of nuts (you can use a single type or mix it up) Unsalted & unroasted
1 tbsp of nut oil (extra virgin groundnut or rapeseed oil)
Put your nuts in a blender and pulse until finely ground. Add the oil and process until a paste has formed. Store in the fridge in an airtight container.
