Raw cacao bounty balls
I used to love a bounty bar when I was a kid. I liked mine nice and cold from the fridge. Whilst I still love the combination of coconut and chocolate I want more real chocolate and no processed sugar (Bounty's largest ingredient), vegetable fat and emulsifiers.
Anyway, indulge in our Bounty Balls without worrying about a lack of natural ingredients. They are superb from the fridge and really simple to make. They never last long in my house!
Cacao fact: Our raw Cacao Powder is a high source of magnesium. There are lots of reasons why magnesium to important to the body. It helps reduce tiredness and fatigue so an amazing energy booster. It also supports the nervous system so make sure you are getting enough magnesium if you suffer from anxiety or stress.
Ingredients:
150g pitted dates
50g raw cacao powder
1 tbsp. coconut oil
30g desiccated coconut (plus extra for rolling)
Bring me that Bounty:
Place everything into a blender and pulse. If the mixture looks too dry (like breadcrumbs add a little more coconut oil or water. When it starts to clump take a little of the mixture and roll into balls. Sprinkle some desiccated coconut onto a plate and roll each ball to coat.
Place in the fridge in an airtight container. The balls will keep for around 2 weeks or will freeze nicely.
