Breakfast Berry Boost
This is a satisfying berry based breakfast smoothie with a high dose of antioxidants to get the day started the right way.
The addition of oats keep you feeling full throughout the morning with a good source of soluble fibre, promoting bowel health whilst balancing your blood sugar levels.
Adding a little honey brings a touch of sweetness to tart berries. If possible treat yourself to Manuka honey or a raw, unprocessed brand that provides antimicrobial and anti-fungal properties.
Serves 2 Ingredients:
225g frozen berries
225g Greek yoghurt or diary free alternative
50ml of milk (dairy or non dairy)
2 tbsp porridge oats
1 tsp honey
Method:
Blend the frozen berries, yoghurt and milk until smooth. Add the oats and pour into glasses. Drizzle your honey on top.
